Sept 16th the Rainbow House hosted roasters, growers, and brokers attending the Pacific Coast Coffee Assoication meeting on Maui. Great food and good music enhanced enjoyment on the pool deck.

This time of year the morning and early evening mauka (mountain) rain showers bring rainbows - single and double! This great photo and view is from the pool deck at the Rainbow House. Come see it for yourselves. Everyday, every hour - the view is ever-changing.

The model home was the venue for the Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational Artist and Host Family party on Feb. 18th. The house is a great party house with lots of room for the more than 85 guests to spread out on the three covered lanais and expansive pool deck. The caterers, Maui Prime of Lahaina, complimented us on the butler's pantry, Viking appliances, and outdoor kitchen, as well as the idea of adding a pass through window into the kitchen! The chilly guests hung out in the Great Room and Media Room!

We were lucky to have many of the 26 painters who participated in the Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational event choose sites at the Kaanapali Coffee Farms to create some of their beautiful paintings!

Up above Kaanapali Coffee Farms is conservation land and also a reservior. A perfect place to hang out and enjoy the view - if you are a Nene. Nene is the largest bird in the goose family, and is the Hawaii State bird. There were two pairs visiting the reservior on Sunday and checking out the show put on by the whales. It's a beautiful environment - here at Kaanapali Coffee Farms.

Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson held off defending champions Fuzzy Zoeller and Ben Crenshaw to win the Wendy's Champions Skins Game on Sunday, Jan. 17th at the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course. Under balmy skies and temperatures in the 80's, famous names in golf played almost in our back yard! Tune in to ESPN on Feb. 27th and 28th to see it on a tape-delay. Next year-you could stroll over from the Rainbow House!

The heart of most homes is the kitchen. It certainly is the case at the Rainbow House. Everyone is delirious over the custom granite countertops - made from Delirium granite! The Viking appliances include the chef's gas cooktop with the disappearing downdraft vent - allowing a clear view to the Great Room. Two prep areas near the seating area and the pass thru window to the outside kitchen area insure that the cooks and guests are never far apart!

The garage doors were installed this week. They will be painted to coordinate with the house. You can see also the board and batten detailing on the exterior walls.

The pool and spa are taking shape. The spa has a waterfall feature, and the pool has an infinity edge! You can already see the view from both.

The team of CC&D Builders, Maxwell Design Group and Kaanapali Land Managment Corp. begin construction on the first home at Kaanapali Coffee Farms designed by IMMA-Architecture and Design.
